Aan de Vaart in Dieversluis
Aan de Vaart is a special place on the Drent Main Canal between Diever and Dwingeloo, at the Diever Lock (Dieversluis) in Dieverbrug. In the summer the boats are on the quay in front of the house. It is therefore a very suitable location for people who love the atmosphere around pleasure boating.
Dieversluis is accessible by both public transport (there is a bus stop next door) as well by car and boat. This house is ideal as a starting point for a nice stay at the beautiful Drenthe. Cute towns and villages such as Appelscha and Giethoorn and are easily accessible.
The "Oude Kantongebouw" (the Old District Building), the "Combuis" (the Galley), the gallery and the art studio were completely renovated in 2008, and are situated on the discharge embankment that that is called "Aan de Vaart". The Kantongebouw is suitable for up to 15 people, and De Combuis offers space for 2 people. Both apartments have a private entrance. It is also suitable for a weekend with family or friends.
Aan de Vaart is located between two national parks, the Drents-Friese Wold and Dwingelderveld where you can walk or bike in a splendid environment. On the Bronsgieterweg (Bronze smith Lane) various artists are working as a bronze caster or sculptor. The landlord himself works with glass. You can take part in workshops after consultation.

The Kantongebouw
The Kantongebouw has a separate entrance. The living room is equipped with a color TV, radio / CD player, a 4 seat, 3-seat sofa and a dining table. Fees apply for use of an Internet connection.
Bands above and is an open kitchen. This gives you a fridge-freezer, 4 burner gas hob, extractor, combi microwave and facilities for up to 13 people.
On the ground floor there is a 6-person bedroom with three bunk beds and a bathroom with toilet. The living area is flexible to adjust to accommodate 3 to 5 persons. Furthermore there is a large loft where a bathroom and a double bedroom are located.
Both bathrooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with shower, toilet, sink and floor heating. Outside there is a large furnished terrace with BBQ and two tables "for regulars".
Duvets and pillows are provided; linen can be rented (mandatory). The consumption of gas, water and electricity spot will be settled with the deposit at the end of your vacation.

The Combuis
The galley is a simple but cozy 2-person apartment with a private entrance. The house is decorated in maritime style. In the living room you'll find next to a double bed and a sitting area with sofa chair, also a dining table for 6 people. TV and a radio / CD player are available. Fees apply for use of an Internet connection.
You have access to a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. And of course, you have you own bathroom. You can sit on the cozy terrace on the water with the possibility to barbecue.
