The Bedstee and Leerlooierhuisje in Dwingeloo
In an alley, just outside the village of Dwingeloo, lies the Old Nijstad. It is a separate pasture area surrounding the Brink. Partly by lush vegetation, the Old Nijstad has a strong rural character. The Old Nijstad dates from before 1700, and thanks to the thatched roofs and some wooden houses, there's much of that authentic atmosphere.
The cobblestone street in the Old Nijstad is a good place to start your holiday. It lies on the outskirts of Dwingeloo, just 3 minutes walk from the beautiful green place with nice shops and several restaurants.
"The Old Nijstad" actually consists of two accommodations, namely "The Bedstee" and "The Leerlooierhuisje". Both inns offer rooms for 2-4 people and can be rented separately or together.
The Bedstee and Leerlooierhuisje has been rebuilt in authentic style. You have in each of these lodgings a private kitchen, living room and bathroom. Also there is a terrace with picnic table. The houses are suitable for up to 4 people. The interior is simple but authentic and fits well with the atmosphere and the type of housing. On the ground floor is the open kitchen and eating room. The kitchen is equipped with a 2 ring electric cooker, microwave and refrigerator.
The Bedstee adjacent to the kitchen and the living room is lockable. Here is a sitting area with TV, two single armchairs and a sofa bed for two people. In the space behind the kitchen are the sleeping places. Here you find a 2 person bed box and pile into the back of a bedstead. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet.
The living room of the Leerlooierhuisje adjacent to the kitchen. Here is a table with chairs and a TV. There are also two bedrooms one of which is furnished with a double bed and one bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet.
Both houses are heated primarily with underfloor heating. Everything breathes the atmosphere of yesteryear with the comfort of today. Furthermore, each house has his own terrace with garden furniture (a gas barbecue can be rented), and there is sufficient parking place.
